Yesterday I was walking down Columbus Avenue and stopped at a street vendor who was selling vintage issues of LIFE Magazine.  The cover photos were absolutely beautiful - snapshots of some of the biggest names, faces, and moments in history.  Here are some of my favourites:

Strawberry Swing

Coldplay's Strawberry Swing is a deliciously sweet song.  The lyrics are fantastic and Chris Martin's voice is soothing and perfectly mellow, forming a solid connection with the ears and soul of the listener.  Besides being great on a listening level, visually the band has created a youthful and dream-like music video that pours with colour and makes whoever watches it develop the faint smile of pleasure and awe.  To see the video click the here and realize "It's such a perfect day..." so go out and enjoy it! Aren't these oil paintings by Eric Zener absolutely stunning and ethereal?  They just prove to me how much I am going to miss Summer - the humidity and dew that lies on your skin while sleeping, the perfection of cool water gliding along your fingertips and the rush of adrenaline when diving straight down into the depths with your eyes closed tight.

I recently saw Quentin Tarantino's Inglorious Basterds and developed sucha girl-crush on the young, fresh-faced French actress Melanie Laurent who plays Shoshanna Dreyfuss... How adorable is she??

The Black Crowes and Levon Helm ROCKED last night, and it was as if they asked EVERY cute guy from New York City to attend... the crowd was amazing!  Now I'm relaxing over a cup of coffee and getting ready to start the day! Enjoy this lovely day y'all! XOXO

ready to wear THIS

Sophomore NYC has been one of my favourite and most anticipated collections for the past few seasons. A mix of '70s downtown flair and comfortable pieces, designers Chrissie Miller and Madeline von Froomer have done it ONCE again with their fabulous new Fall 2009 collection. I fell in love with each and every piece and cannot wait to purchase some of my VERY own. Check out their site for their awesome lookbooks (from any season - they all rock) with photos by Cass Bird, which ultimately show that this line is all about youth, comfort, fun and being totally, utterly, effortlessly cool.

boy, it's been awhile!!!
i took a much needed retreat up in the mountains for the summer, free of cell service or high speed internet... then it was off to the hamptons for a couple days by the pool... love-love-lovely...
now i'm back in nyc and let me tell you, its good to be back!

being out in the summer sun i am never without a big bottle of water, my ray bans and my ipod... this summer i dug a lot of Jenny Lewis...Besides being drop dead adorable and the spitting image of a'70s fashion icon from the green hills of California, she's one heck of a lyricist... my favourite lyric: "So I found myself a sweetheart, with the softest of hands, We were unlucky in love but I'd do it all again."[Acid Tongue].... No regrets Ms. Lewis, always the way to live. Enjoy!! xx

I know I've been lacking... However, this crumby weather in NYC leaves me in need of a little cheering up! So, what's better than an absolute hottie on a gray, uninspiring day?

My family has ALWAYS been obsessed with golf. From as young as I can remember, every holiday, my grandpa, uncles and my dad would sit planted in front of the television [until the mama's let 'em!] and would watch, discuss, and critique golf matches. I never really saw the appeal - kinda boring, very slow... but recently I've struck up an interest due to these 2 gorgeous blonde golfers: Adam Scott and Michael Sim... Maybe, I'll track one of them down and fall madly in love - the family would love it!!



Okay, having a cup of coffee and then lots to do today; going out to Park Slope to see an apartment after brunch with my bestest friend Brielle Lax and then leaving tomorrow for the Adirondack Mountains - Rain, Rain go away!! ENJOY! XOXO

Kinda creepy, but kinda cool is this necklace sold on the Bonadrag website, handmade by Lady Lovana. busy day! going to see the snow leopards in central park (below) with my baby sister chloe, and baby brother jensen (they are teenagers, respectively) after we get chloe's awesome vintage camera fixed and then tonight going to see the avett brothers at the fillmore at irving plaza... i could not be more excited! going to get some good shots, listen to some good tunes, and hopefully drink some good wine...

when ladies think of star trek its always about captain kirk. with the opening of the new star trek, i ask all you out there to shed some light on spock as the voyager's #1 dreamboat. zachary quinto who plays the half-vulcan half-human spock proves that the smart guy can also be sleek n' sexy... enjoy! x
