Happy Halloween!!

Happy Halloween Kiddies!
Eat lotsa candy, drink lotsa spiked cider, and put on your greatest costumes!  I'll be at The Park party in Chelsea... I still don't even know what I'm going as: either a flapper with a groovy fringed dress I have or as Wednesday Addams.  Ideas?

On The Cover of The Rollin' Stone

If I could make a wallpaper out of vintage Rolling Stone covers, I would...Here are some of my favourites... Obviously shot by Annie.

We had a fitting at Hudson Studios all day today as well as a casting for an upcoming fragrance shoot... VERY BUSY!
Hope y'all had a lovely day and some of you somewhere in the world got some sunshine (NYC was very very very rainy today.)

Wild Things

The Where the Wild Things Are craze has officially expanded into the world of fashion & retail.  I know y'all saw those crazy jumpsuits from Opening Ceremony that are available in adult sizes.  Now, Opening Ceremony has also released jewelry inspired by Spike Jonze's film based off the lovably classic picture book by Maurice Sendak.  The jumpsuits, not for me, BUT the jewelry is pretty cool...

Have a lovely day babies...

Monday Dreamboats

Boys with beauty Elsa Pataky (who plays Xime) and the director.
Last week on my day-off in all my lazy, couch potato glory, I watched a movie called Mancora; a coming of-age tale about a Peruvian young man whose father kills himself and to cope he embarks on a road trip to a surf town south of Lima with his distant, pseudo-related cousin and her boyfriend.  It takes a Y Tu Mama Tambien twist as they develop a love-triangle sparking such themes as trust, betrayal, truth and growth.  The two male actors who starred in this movie are Jason Day and Enrique Murciano (glasses).  Both are hot hot hot and made the movie that much more enjoyable (it was actually a great movie and the scenery was unbelievable... made me want to go to Mancora more than ANYTHING)... okay check them out; they're gorge.
Hope your days were lovely...

I Wear a Ponytail Like a Waterfall

Jenny Lewis "See Fernando" from Team G on Vimeo.

Jenny Lewis, Congratulations... You are officially my new idol.  I can't decide what I love/envy more... your rustic tresses, your nostalgic voice, or your tough feminine charm.  Just give me them all, please!
hope your weekends were lovely... here's to a lovely autumn week!

Coconut Records

I'm mildly obsessed with uber-hip Chloe Sevigny as well as funny-man Jason Schwartzman.  So, obviously I fell in love with this music video for Schwartzman's musical alter-ego Coconut Records' song "Any Fun"... it reminds me of a modern day tribute of the Zephyr Team from Dogtown/Venice, California.  It's just such a cute little video and I wanted to share it today.

I have the day off so I'm dropping off old clothes at Buffalo Exchange in hopes to find some new digs.  I'm on a mad search for ankle boots, black dresses, big comfy sweaters and great leggings/tights.  I also really want a pair of oxford/saddle shoes and some new chunky bracelets.  I may have an addiction problem hehe.  Wish me luck.

Have a lovely day xx Paris

Xavier Veilhan

What I would give to be walking around the Xavier Veilhan show at Versailles on this fall day.  These photos were taken by Todd Selby and the exhibition looks just awesome - crazy modernism/minimalism juxtaposed against the beautifully classic palace... ahhhh just gorgeous.
Instead, walking down Fifth Avenue today will have to do :)

Have a lovely day all! XOXO Paris

Rock My Socks

These socks are super rad! I love the way the J.Crew team has styled them!  Especially the pretty pink ones with the neutral outfit choice...
Ankle socks are making a comeback this winter/spring - just watch...

Forget-Me-Nots

I love these scarves by Forget Me Not... they are like a hip twist on the gorgeous Hermes scarves that have been sported by the creme de la creme for decades.  They are perfect for a pretty, little, feminine gift as the colors are gorgeous and the prints are bursting with wild flowers, butterflies, forest animals and nymph-like chicks.  They can be worn around the neck, turban-ized or thrown into a bag as your signature handkerchief that one day you pass down to your daughter utilizing the classic and sweet saying, "Forget me not..."

Have a fantastic day! XOXO, Paris

Monday Dreamboats

On Saturday I had the pleasure of going to see The Avett Brothers at Terminal 5 here in NYC... Besides being absolutely wonderful musically, Scott and Seth Avett are the dreamiest bros I think I've ever laid eyes on.  Scott is the sort-of frontman... he's shorter than Seth but has a strong and passionate voice, sparkling blue eyes, a great set of pearly whites, and style out the wazoo.  Seth is the taller and kind of dopier one, but he has a sweetness oozing out of him from his honey-sweet voice to his kid-like dance moves perfected by his long limbs.  The brother's music is a tribute to America, family, love and loss.  They conquer all that it is to be human in this day and age: the feelings, the pain, the downright beauty and they do it with such vigor and zest.  They are just beautiful hillbilly "Mountain Men" and I am so in love with their music... you should all check it out!

Have a listen & a great day!

Cowgirls in English Saddles

I love love love these photos by Veronique Vial from her book entitled Cowgirls in English Saddles.  They are just darling and the juxtaposition of these huge, strapping mammals with the little girls with sunshine curls just makes me smile.  Too cute!  I also love the first image with the horses in the home... so silly yet so warm.
Have a great day lovelies! I have the day off so I'm going to spend another hour or two in bed, then check out the digs at Buffalo Exchange and then pick up tickets for Trevor Hall tonight at Roseland Ballroom with my sister Chloe :)
