Hello Lauren!

I just got a new job at Ralph Lauren Advertising and I could not be more pleased!! To get me in the spirit of the "redefinition of American style" I'm posting some of my favourite looks from the Spring/Summer 2010 show... Inspired by the Recession and the working class, he really put on a lovely show that celebrates what it means to be an American.  His usage of jean and the most gorgeous of blues shows just how classic Ralph Lauren is and I am thrilled to join the team.  For men's, he concentrates on looks that span from a young student exploring South America to a classic executive look for a gorgeous Italian entrepreneur.  Just gotta get me some more blue jeans, white tees, and shrunken blue blazers, and I'll fit right in...
Have a wonderful day! XOXO Paris

Tom Wesselmann

Tom Wesselmann's mixed media images are so very striking: they are bright and sexual and also throw brand names and consumerism right into our faces.  They are funky and fresh and would look fabulous on stark white walls.
Hello autumn, the best of seasons! Have a lovely day dudes! XOXO Paris

Monday Dreamboat

Saturday I took my little brother Jensen [who's not so little anymore] to a movie... due to his crazy crush on indie cutie Ellen Page and my ongoing love for Drew Barrymore, we decided to grab some goodies (for me candy corn and gummi bears and for him a burger and fries) and headed out to see Whip It!  Barrymore's directorial debut.  Besides being an adorable girl power fun-fest there was a major dreamboat who vied for the affection of roller derby herione Page, and his name is Landon Pigg.  Pigg is a real-life musician from Tennessee and totally has that tall, thin, bedheaded rock star thing and I'm lovin' it.

Isn't he a cutie?  Alright, much to do today... Have a good one! XOXO

Elizabeth Peyton

Elizabeth Peyton's paintings of beautiful men who have stolen our hearts for years are dramatic; they thrive with rich, vivid colors and thick brushstrokes to complete images that capture emotions, actions and generations.  She is able to display the man, the myth and the legend in all of them.
Rain is falling on NYC today, so I'm cozied up on my couch with some coffee.  Have a lovely Sunday! XOXO Paris

Binki and her Boys

It's my birthday next Saturday and ALL I want (besides dinner at The Harrison in TriBeCa and Madewell motorcycle boots) is tickets to the Little Joy concert at Webster Hall on Friday night.  Little Joy, composed of Fabrizio Moretti (of The Strokes), his girlfriend Binki Shapiro and Rodrigo Amarante is a beachy trio whose tunes are reminiscent of sunnier times when all that mattered was the beach, surfing, and drinking beers with your buds by a bonfire.  Binki is an adorable, token girl-member and I adore her style and her sultry vocals.

Here's their video for their great song "Next Time Around" that reminds me of something you should listen to while lying on beaches in Biarritz or camping in the woods of Northern California... Enjoy!  XOXO Paris

Angus and Julia Stone

I'm lovin' Australian bro/sis duo Angus & Julia Stone... their music is perfection: delicately warm and smokey vocals, darling lyrics and soothing acoustic guitar melodies.
Their music videos are also wonderful... I personally like these two:
My cousin, who's like a sister, Kendall turned me onto them... They are very "her" - she's like sunshine, and cherishes the beautiful things in life - from smiles and hugs to her puppy Norton to our Grandmother and the drunken conversations we have with her on holidays.
She's a beautiful brunette waif and I just love her...

Kendall now..
Kendall and I, then... (and with our cousin Cassidy in the 2nd pic)
Thanks Kenny for being my heart and turning me onto good tunez.
Have a good day/weekend lovies xoxo Paris

James Joyce

Love this artwork by the fabulously timeless James Joyce... It has a classic 50's vibe that is modernized by the usage of bright Keith Haring-esque colors.
Out to Brooklyn early this morning... have a great day lovelies! XOXO Paris

Monday Dreamboat

This week I give you Simone Felice, member of folk-rock/country group The Felice Brothers and member of the new and groovy The Duke and the King.  Besides having a honey-sweet voice and cult-worthy musical stylings, his great cheekbones and tufts of chocolate brown hair and freakin' gorgeous!  Check out some pics and a video of The Duke and the King rehearsing their song "The Morning That I Get To Hell".
Enjoy the day  XOXO paris

Fall Footwear

Fall is my favorite season because: 1. My birthday is in October.  2. I love Candy Corn.  3.  I love boots... SO, I've been on a mad search for the greatest fall boots since my Jim Barnier leather boots are starting to wear a bit...
These are my favorite finds - both dressy and casual. What do you think?
Just got back from the Farmer's Market and got some great fresh vegetables (sweet potatoes, corn, eggplant, tomatoes) to make tonight for a little Emmy's party... Enjoy the rest of Sunday. XOXO Paris

Rachel Bone

I love these imaginative paintings by Baltimore-based artist Rachel Bone.  They are like little sweet tales that come to life before your very eyes and the most banal of actions are exaggerated and transformed.
It looks like a beautiful day so I hope y'all enjoy it... perhaps going to see Rhett Miller and the Serial Lady Killers tonight at Webster Hall to see some good rock-n-roll music from a cute guy :)
